Applesauce Tea Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c White flour
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 1 tb Cinnamon
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 ts Baking powder
  • 1/2 c Sugar
  • 8 oz Applesauce
  • 1 c Skim milk

Directions

Applesauce Surprise Mini-Muffins

Servings: 3 Dozen

Ingredients

  • 2 c Unbleached flour
  • 1/4 c Wheat germ (opt)
  • 1 tb Apple pie spice or 1ts each
  • -of cinnamon, allspice and
  • -nutmeg
  • 2 ts Baking powder
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 1/2 c Honey
  • 2 Jars (4oz) strained carrots
  • -or 1 cn (16oz) pumpkin
  • -puree
  • 2/3 c Applesauce
  • 2 tb Vegetable oil
  • 2 Eggs; lightly beaten
  • Vegetable oil spray

Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Stir together flour, wheat germ, spices, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Set aside. Stir together honey, carrots or pumpkin, applesauce, vegetable oil and eggs in second bowl. Stir wet ingredients into dry, mixing until completely moistened. Do not over beat. Coat mini-muffi pans with vegetable oil spray and spoon in batter. Bake for 1-to14 minutes, until muffins will spring back when touched. Applesauce Breakfast Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 c Unsweetened applesauce
  • -OR- crushed pineapple
  • – (unsweetened)
  • 1/4 c Molasses
  • 1/4 c Honey
  • 1/2 ts Vanilla
  • 1/4 ts Almond extract
  • 1 1/2 c AM Griddle Lite Pancake Mix
  • 2 ts AM Canola Oil

Directions
Mix liquids thoroughly. Add the dry mix. Stir gently. Pour into a well-oiled square cake pan. Bake at 350 F. for 20 minutes or until done.   • 1 pk Yeast
  • 2 1/4 c Bread flour
  • 3/4 c Wheat flour
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 4 tb White sugar
  • 1/2 ts Cinnamon
  • 1 pn Pinch nutmeg
  • 2/3 c Warm appesauce
  • 1 tb Butter
  • 1/2 c Warm apple juice
  • 1/2 c Grated fresh apple
  • Use ingredients at room temp

Directions
Put all ingredients in the order listed into pan, select white bread, and push “start”. This can be mixed on manual of the bread machine. After Second kneading, remove dough for machine, divide into to equal portions and place in small loaf pans. Cover and let rise to double, about 45 min to 1 hour. Bake at 350 f. for 35-40 min. Applesauce Banana Bread

  • 4 Bananas, ripe
  • 1 c Sugar
  • 1/2 c Applesauce
  • 1 ts Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 ts Baking Soda
  • 1 tb Baking Powder
  • 1 ts Salt
  • 2 c Flour

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 F. Place bananas in a large bowl and mash with electric mixer. Stir in sugar and let stand for 15 minutes. Add applesauce and eggs and beat well. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour into 9″x5″ loaf pan coated with nonstick vegetable spray. Bake for 45 minutes, or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean. Remove from oven and let stand 10 minutes before removing from pan. Cool on wire rack. Apple-Peanut Butter Popover Pancake

  • 1/4 c Peanut butter
  • 2/3 c Water
  • 1 c Bisquick original baking mix
  • 4 Eggs
  • 3 sm Apples; thinly sliced
  • -(about 2 cups)
  • 3 tb Margarine or butter
  • 1/4 c Sugar

Directions
HEAT oven to 400 degrees. Generously grease rectangular baking dish or pan, 13x9x2 inches. Heat peanut butter and water to boiling in 2-quart saucepan, stirring occasionally. Add baking mix all at once. Stir vigorously over low heat about 1 minute or until mixture forms a ball; remove from heat. BEAT in eggs, two at a time, with spoon; beat until smooth and glossy after each addition. Spread in pan (do not spread up sides). Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until puffed and center is dry. COOK apples and margarine in 10-inch skillet 2 to 3 minutes or until apples are slightly tender. Sprinkle sugar over apples. Cut pancake into 6 squares. Apple-Orange Spice Muffins

  • 3/4 c Flour
  • 1 1/2 ts Baking powder
  • 1/2 ts Cinnamon
  • 1/4 ts Baking soda
  • 1 Dash Salt, nutmeg, & cloves
  • 1/3 c Instant nonfat dry milk powd
  • 2 tb Plus 2 tsp. margarine
  • 1 tb Plus 1 tsp. Fimrly packed
  • 1 Brown sugar
  • 1 Large egg, separated
  • 2 Sm. pared, grated applies
  • 2 tb Raisins
  • 1 tb Plus 1 tsp. frz. concen.
  • Apple juice (no sugar added)
  • 1 Grated orange peel
  • 1 Dash cream of tartar

Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Into small bowl sift together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and cloves; stir in milk powder and set aside. In mixing bowl cream margarine with sugar; add egg yolk and, using electric mixer on medium speed, beat until thick and creamy. Add apples, raisins, juice, and orange peel and stir to combine; add flour mixture and beat until well blended. In separate bowl, using clean beaters and mixer on high speed, beat egg white with cream of tartar until stiff but not dry; fold into batter. Spray eight 2 1/2 inch diameter nonstick muffin pan cups with nonstick cooking spray; spoon 1/8 of batter into each sprayed cup (each will be about 2/3 full) and partially fill remaining cups with water (this will prevent pan from burning and/or warping). Bake 20 to 25 minutes (until cake tester, inserted in center, comes out clean). Remove pan from oven and carefully drain off water (remember, it will be boiling hot); remove muffins to wire rack and let cool. Makes 4 servings of 2 MUFFINS EACH! Apple-Oat Bran Scones – Country Cooking

  • 3 c Unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 c Oat or wheat-bran flaked
  • -cereal
  • 4 ts Baking powder
  • 1 ts Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 1/4 c Milk
  • 1/4 c Vegetable oil
  • 1/4 c Firmly packed light-brown
  • -sugar
  • 1 lg Egg
  • 1 lg Red baking apple, cored
  • -and coarsely chopped with
  • -skin on
  • 1 tb Butter, melted
  • Additional ground cinnamon
  • -for topping (opt.)

Directions
1. Heat oven to 425′F. Grease large baking sheet. In large bowl, combine flour, cereal, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. 2. In medium-size bowl, beat together milk, oil, sugar, and egg. Add to dry ingredients along with chopped apple; mix lightly with fork until mixture clings together and forms a soft dough. 3. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface and knead gently 5 or 6 times. Divide dough in half. With lightly floured rolling pin, roll one half of dough into a 7-inch round. Cut into 4 wedges. Repeat with remaining half of dough. 4. Place scones, 1 inch apart, on greased baking sheet. Pierce tops with tines of fork. Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with additional cinnamon, if desired. 5. Bake scones 15 to 18 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm. Apple-Nut Coffee Cake

  • 2 c Flour
  • 1 ts Baking powder
  • 1 ts Baking soda
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 1 c Sugar
  • 1/2 c Shortening
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 ts Vanilla
  • 1 c Sour cream
  • 2 c Chopped apples
  • 1/4 c Water
  • 1/2 c Chopped nuts
  • 1/2 c Brown sugar
  • 1 ts Cinnamon
  • 2 ts Butter; melted

Directions
Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda & salt. Cream sugar & shortening. Beat into creamed mixture the eggs & vanilla. Add this to flour mixture along with sour cream, adding alternately. In small pan simmer apples with water just until slightly soft. Do not cook too long. Fold in apples. Pour batter into round, greased & floured cake pans. Combine nuts, brown sugar & cinnamon. Pour melted butter over these & stir. Sprinkle mixture over tops of bread. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes. This makes a great holiday gift for a special friend. Bake in aluminum cake pans, wrap with plastic wrap & tie with Christmas red ribbon. May be made ahead of time & frozen. MRS.
