Ingredients

  • 4 c Fresh Berries
  • 1 Lemon; Sliced And Scraped
  • -Peel Of
  • 1 pn Tarragon Or Cloves
  • 3 c Vodka Or 2 Cups Vodka And 1
  • -Cup Brandy, Or Sweet White
  • -Wine
  • 1 c Sugar Syrup

Directions
1. Lightly crush berries with a fork. 2. Add to vodka with lemon peel and cloves 3. Steep 3 months. Strain. Crush the berries through the filters to squeeze out all the juices. 4. Add sugar syrup to taste. Mature 4 to 6 weeks. Kumquat Booze

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb Kumquats
  • 1 1/2 c Sugar
  • 1 1/2 c Vodka; 80-100 Proof.

Directions
1. Wash and quarter kumquats (don’t bother to remove the seeds). 2. Put in large glass jar (I used an old large pickle jar). 3. Add sugar – Do Not Stir. 4. Add vodka. Let it set for six weeks, covered. 5. At the end of six weeks put in large bowl or other container and mash several times with an old fashioned potato masher or anything else that will do the job. 6. Strain through fine strainer to remove fruit and seeds. 7. It will be somewhat cloudy. It can be filtered to make it clear. Kummel Liqueur

Ingredients

  • 6 c 80 proof vodka
  • 2 c Water
  • 16 ts Whole caraway seed
  • 6 Chinese anise seeds
  • 1 ts Ground nutmeg
  • 1 ts Whole coriander seed
  • 1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
  • 4 c White sugar

Directions
Mix all ingredients. Cover. Shake vigorously for two or three minutes. Do this each day until no more sugar settles to the bottom. Let mixture stand for one month. Carefully pour liqueur through a sieve. Discard seeds and residue at bottom of the bottle. Maxine’s Cranberry Liqueur

  • 24 oz Cranberries; pkgs. fresh
  • 4 c Sugar
  • 3 c Gin ; (the most inexpensive

Directions
Chop cranberries in food processor or blender. Put in large lidded jar. Add sugar and gin. Store for 2 weeks, turning or shaking container daily. Strain off cranberries reserve for dessert topping, or use in cranberry nut bread. (The baking removes most of the alcohol). Decant liqueur into appropriate bottle. Keeps indefinitely. Same Day Kaluha (Flamin’ Bozo)

Ingredients

  • 3 c Water
  • 4 c Sugar
  • 1/2 c Instant coffee
  • 3 c Vodka
  • 3 tb Vanilla

Directions
Bring water, sugar, and instant coffee to a boil. turn down heat to a slow boil for 1 hour. This will turn into syrup. Let it cool for 1 to 2 hours. Tangerine Liqueur

Ingredients

  • 3 c 80 proof vodka
  • 1 c Water
  • 2 Dozen ripe tangerines
  • 2 lb White sugar
  • 1 Dozen whole cloves
  • 1/2 ts Cinnamon

Directions
Wash and peel tangerines. Remove any large pieces of pith remaining on inside of peel. Section tangerines and then cut each section into two or three pieces. Put tangerine pieces and peel in a jar with vodka, water, cinnamon, and cloves. Add white sugar and shake vigorously until sugar is dissolved. Cover. Let mixture set for three weeks, then strain and let the liqueur settle until clear. This usually takes a week or ten days.
